Re: Remarks Attributed to Michael O’Leary.
Dear Sir,
I refer to the above and the details contained in a Sunday Independent Article this morning which reported that Mr O’Leary effectively went on a rant and attacked workers across a range of issues.
Quite apart from the appalling lack of judgement from the Fine Gael party in allowing such an attack on ordinary decent workers, it surely behoves political leaders across all Parties to condemn such an atrocious abuse of voters who have had to endure the austerity enforced cuts perpetuated by the bankers, developers and some in the political classes?
I am sure that you of all people will appreciate that rebuilding and recovering from the recession is no easy task, it is proving extremely difficult for workers who, it should be bourn in mind were not responsible for the crash to recover at the pace enjoyed by some in the banking, developer and political world.
The Sunday Independent article is also reporting that Mr O’Leary is due to speak at a Fianna Fail function in November, which given his reported remarks, is something that would be of concern to all of those workers who only recently decided to buy into the publicly perceived volte face of your Party and offered significant support in the last General Election.
Taking lectures on Workers entitlements from someone with questionable form on those he himself employs is nothing short of odious.
I am now requesting that you will by return disassociate Fianna Fail from such distasteful and frankly appalling attacks from this manure spouting non-elected individual.
Yours Sincerely
General Secretary
