Re: Labour Relations Commission Proposals Iarnród Éireann
Dear Sir,
I refer to the above and wish to advise that the NBRU members at Iarnród Éireann have accepted the above proposals.
Having engaged in a comprehensive nationwide consultative process in advance of our ballot it is clear to us that our members are determined to extract the optimum from the proposals in terms of achieving a sustainable future for themselves and their families.
In this regard you will be aware that the LRC proposals set out a role for the NTA in terms of making “arrangements for a comprehensive engagement with the Trade Unions and the Company to discuss and engage with all aspects of the position of these parties in relation to the future financial infrastructure of the Company.”
Whilst not intending to impose any preconditions on such discussions it should be noted that we intend to remain consistent with our stated position on advocating for appropriate funding for the current service levels.
Accordingly we are now to request that you will facilitate an initial engagement as soon as is practically possible.
Yours Sincerely
