The National Bus and Rail Union held a Public Meeting in the Tower Hotel in Waterford ON Wednesday 25th June as part of the campaign of opposing the Fine Gael/Labour Privatisation policy of publicly owned bus services.

The staff and travelling public in Waterford are very angry at yet another attack on the social fabric of their City.

To date the National Transport Authority, The Ministers and the Department have ignored the concerns of bus workers and the travelling public.

Our members in Waterford are organising a march on Tuesday next the 1st July to constituency office of Paudie Coffey T.D.Vice Chair of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport to hand in a letter of protest against this anti-worker, anti-travelling public policy.

The March will depart the Bus Station on the Quay at 11am
