NBRU ANNOUNCE A SERIES OF 48 HOUR STRIKE ACTIONS
NBRU “FAIR SALARY INCREASE” FOR DUBLIN BUS STAFF
The largest front line Trade Union at Dublin Bus, the NBRU has today in conjunction with Trade Union colleagues, announced a Series of 48 hour Stoppages across the month of September in furtherance of a” Fair Salary” increase for Dublin Bus Staff.
All Trade Unions at Dublin Bus met on Monday the 29th August and jointly agreed on the following dates for industrial action, the 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th, 23rd & 24th September.
The disputes will commence at 000.01 for a 48 hour period. Local representatives will liaise with staff with details around bus parking.
All Unions have agreed to reconvene on Thursday 15th September to review the dispute and to discuss all options inclusive of the all-out strike option.
The NBRU has publicly called on the Minister for Transport to allow Dublin Bus to come back to the table with an improved offer for its long suffering hardworking staff.
The 15% agreed between all unions at the WRC, plus a recognition of the 6% owed from 2008 is a building block towards the NBRU claim for pay parity between bus drivers and tram drivers, inclusive of incorporating shift allowance into a pensionable salary along with income Continuance paid in full by Dublin Bus.
Members will be updated throughout the dispute.
